Washougal’s wonderful Riverside Concert Series concludes this weekend with a family-friendly finale on the beautiful banks of the Columbia River. At 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, Rocket 88 will begin a music-filled evening with country, swing, and rhythm & blues. Then, local favorite Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts will entertain the audience from 8 to 9:30 p.m., wrapping up the concert series with hits from the 50s and 60s.
There will be food vendors, face painting, balloon animals, games, and more. Camas Lions Club will serve hamburgers and rice bowls, and the beer garden will be well-stocked with craft brews by Fortside Brewing Company (as well as cold Coors, if that’s your thang. No judgment here.) This late-summer concert on the lush lawns of Marina Park is extremely popular, so come early to save your spot and bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Overflow parking will be available on the Port of Camas-Washougal’s waterfront property. For more details about this concert, or to learn more about event sponsor Port of Camas-Washougal, visit www.portcw.com.
