The Outdoor Market at Battle Ground Village will be open on the Fourth of July with some good, ol’ fashioned Independence Day fun for you and your family. The market will be especially festive on Saturday with free goodies for the kids and an open mic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All ages are welcome to bask in the spotlight; bring your instrument, your props, your costumes and your big ideas to the stage to revel in your 15 minutes of fame.
As usual, the family- and pet-friendly market will be packed with summer produce from local farmers, wares fashioned by North Bank artisans, and live music. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday through Sept. 26. Visitors will find fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, flowers, plants, arts and crafts, baked goods, delicious prepared food, home and garden gifts and accessories, live entertainment, and children’s activities.
Battle Ground Village is a collection of shops, restaurants, and residences located near the intersection of S.E. Grace Ave. and S.E. Rasmussen Blvd. If you’re hungry or thirsty after the market ends, you can always visit the excellent Northwood Public House & Brewery, Uncle D’s Wood-fired Pizza, Pasta Gigi’s, or Emanar Cellars—and they’re all easy to get to, because they’re all located right in Battle Ground Village.
