Are you the kind of person who thinks decorating a home mostly involves building more bookshelves? Then you'll want to grab a bookbag (or two or three) and head on over to the Spring Used Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, and from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. A special presale for members of Friends of the Library will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, but if you're not a member, not to worry; memberships are available at the door.
All sales will be held at the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Headquarters—the former home of the downtown Vancouver library, at 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd. The book sale, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Vancouver Community Library, will take place on the lower level, downstairs in Library Hall.
If you don't have any bookbags (although we can't imagine why not), the library will be kind enough to give you a bag and you may fill it with as many books as you like for $2. And here's a secret: Any books that don't sell by 3 p.m. on April 13 are free—at least until 4 p.m., when the book-sale-and-giveaway-extravaganza will end.
