There's a lot to drink here on the North Bank: handcrafted beer, award-winning wine, top-notch house-roasted coffee and hand-blended tea, not to mention hard cider and artisinally distilled spirits. Vancouver's artisan beverage makers invite you to try them all at the next Drink This! event on Saturday, March 22, from 4 to 9 p.m.
Stroll around downtown Vancouver and visit our coffeehouses, tasting rooms and brewpubs. In addition to enjoying the yummy drinks, there'll be live music in many venues and the beveragemakers themselves will be on hand to discuss the finer points of distilling, brewing, roasting, fermenting, and blending. Businesses will stay open late to give you exta time to browse, sample, discuss (and perhaps purchase).
Don't know where to start? Check in with the Drink This Facebook page and look for a map to help plan your evening. There's no registration or admission fee to participate, although some businesses may charge for samples. Visit individual websites for more information, including (but definitely not limited to) Brewed 360, Torque Coffee Roasters, Loowit Brewing, Niche Wine & Art Bar, Burnt Bridge Cellars, Cellar 55, Mint Tea, Mt. Tabor Brewery, and Compass Coffee.
