Cellar 55 Tasting Room invites you to come along on an "ArtJouney" with "intuitive artist" Dore Jean. You'll have a glass in one hand, a brush in the other, and a blank canvas to fill with whatever seems good to you after you've had a few sips. It's an art class, of sorts, but it's also wine appreciation and a guaranteed method of relaxation. Jean's gentle instruction's are merely "suggestions," and no skill is necessary. (In fact, after two glasses of wine, many students become extraordinarily skilled.)
The class will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Monday, March 17, at Cellar 55, 1812 Washington St. in downtown Vancouver. The fee is $35 in advance or $40 at the door, and includes all necessary supplies, wine, and appetizers—the kind you can eat with one hand while painting a stunning abstract sunset with the other. The class is quite popular and often sells out early, so prompt registration is recommended. To sign up, call Jean at 808-639-2344.
